Mythbusters tests global warming theory – does CO2 warm air?
MythBusters build transparent boxes, filled some with carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4), then monitored temperature differences.
Do greenhouse gases increase the amount of heat absorbed by air?

Most of the global warming experienced in recent decades has been due to ocean warming, oceans that cover 71% of the Earth’s surface. To really test if extra CO2 from anthropogenic emissions, 3% of the total carbon exchange, at 410ppm (0.04% of air), has an effect on global temperatures then the test would have to heat water not air. How many heaters would it take to heat a cold bath?
About 90% of the extra warming generated from added heat trapping gases to the atmosphere, went into the Oceans. Read more on this topic https://skepticalscience.com/Ocean-Warming-has-been-Greatly-Underestimated.html
They increased the gases by 1% and got a result. Of 1C increase, but humans have only increased CO2 by 0.01 % to 0.018.
1 100th of the ratio MB used.
So the rate of temp increase is 0.01% of a degree C
John reeves. You misunderstand percentages. Humans increased co2 by almost 50%. From 0.025 to 0.042. No idea where you got 0.018 from!
