A NASA rainfall analysis estimated the amount of rainfall generated by Hurricane Matthew when it moved over the Carolinas.
NASA’s Global Precipitation Measurement Mission or GPM core satellite saw tremendous amounts of rainfall throughout Haiti. GPM has now captured Matthew near the Florida coast undergoing an eyewall replacement cycle, a process that may re-intensify the storm. https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2016/matthew-atlantic-ocean
