she was a scientist after all, no wonder she understands the threat of the
climate change. Not like some narrow minded republicans… :)

This video really does tell a lot about the differences between the
American Republican party, a bunch of bigots who believe the Earth is a few
thousand years old, and the British Conservative party. The Tories have
evolved and are rightfully eroding the left-leaning electorate on issues
such as marriage equality and global warming. Now people have really no
excuse for supporting the Labour Party.

The next Industrial revolution is the Green revolution and Thatcher, as
    ever, showed the way.

The sun has had by far the biggest impact on climate change. It always has
done and always will. If there is any man made climate change, it is so
miniscule compared to this, it is not even worth mentioning.

Thatcher’s speech on global warming is not a “lie” – that is
ideological-drivel. I am an AGW sceptic – nevertheless, this speech is
about man’s responsibility to the environment. There is such thing as air
pollution, chemical pollution and eutrophication – and this is due to the
recklessness of industry. Thatcher is commenting on this. She also comments
about primitive farming methods leading to desertification. That is true
too. She is right yet again. I do wish people could grow up and see.

Furthermore, Thatcher is not ranting on about how man is purely the reason
of climate change. There is climate change – man-made or not – there is no
denying this. Her speech is about how to tackle the drastic change in
    climate. I <3 Thatcher

The idea of global warming through increased levels of CO2, originated in a
laboratory experiment conducted by Svante Arrhenius in the 19th century.
Now admit your wrong, and face reality. Svante Arrhenius was one of the
greatest chemists of all time by the way.

overall the climate swings from global cooling to global warming and takes
124 years to accomplish it, in the past we saw cooling in 1617, warming
1741, cooling 1865 and now warming 1989, pluto’s accentric orbit from
perihelion to aphelion is also 124 years, any anomalies stretching these
dates is due to the movements of the giant planets in their orbits around
    the sun.

this speech on the greenhouse effect was written for her to promote low
carbon nuclear power in the wake of a spate of troublesome miners
strikes//a little known fact is that Nigel Lawson was behind the idea!! He
    is now a climate cynic!!

+thatcheritescot Can someone forward this to Tory and UKIP headquarters
    please?

Maggie was just doing this as a ploy to help break the miners union. She
would soon reverse everything she said here. The first world leader to
speak out about the danger of global warming was LBJ. And to the fools on
here who are unable to understand the difference between climate change
brought about by greenhouse gas emissions and variations in the Earth’s
orbit and tilt, please learn enough science that you don’t sound like an
    idiot.
