The Guardian: Rajendra Pachauri: human society will see sense on climate change

Recent extreme weather in the UK, US and Asia is consistent with climate change, Rajendra Pachauri, the chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, tells John Vidal. He says such events will become more frequent unless carbon emissions can be brought under control. He is optimistic that mankind can achieve this feat – but time is running out.

Humanity is a bunch of dumbfucks lead by a power hungry rich elite.
As always they will not evade a catastrophe, they never did. From the
begining they loved to create big empires on the bones of slaves and let
them build monuments like the pyramids. The worst thing is that many of
those workers were and are proud to help build that stupid wasteful stuff.
We will burn all there is and then some. Climate change will teleport us
back to a coal and wood driven society that declines with time until
evolution kicks in again and forms us unto something very different and
more animal like. No wonder, because intelligence will have proven to be
very dangerous. Only a very few use it for the well being of all.

Makes me wonder why the IPCC report was leaked? Not sure I understand
motives, why not just release it to all news outlets? Only reason I can
think of, have previous IPCC reports been edited by politicians before
    public release?

The window for action is closing, “in some parts of Africa we could have a decline of 50% of agricultural yields by 2020″ – Rajendra Pachauri, the chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change on the forthcoming IPCC WG3 report.

I seem to remember Rajendra was chosen as chair, as he was considered a safe realist and acceptable to various sides. He states he is an incurable optimist.

In my country a 2007 survey revealed that 90% of the populous regard climate change as a problem.

In August 2012, a Horizons poll showed that 64.4 per cent of respondents wanted Parliament to do more to respond to global warming. 67.5 per cent of respondents wanted business to do more to address global warming. Horizons commented that the poll “makes a strong case for more political action”.

Lets forget/ignore the irritating denial – brain dead people who seem hell-bent on self destruction and act. We are having an election this year and I will support the party who promises to act the most, I owe it to Africa and future generations.

Agriculture is affecting climate change, energy production is affecting
climate change, construction is affecting climate change, breathing and
breeding is affecting climate change… changing the effects of greedy
people is the only way to stop it.

Since more and more scientist are debunking this crap and since fewer
people are believing this crap especially those people who have to dig
themselves out of the blizzards- the IPCC guys got to get more dramatic
with their dire forecast and predictions of Global Warming. Reminds me of
the chicken little “the sky is falling” story.
