Published on YouTube Aug 29, 2013: Elon Musk on global warming aka climate change (10/11/2011).

Meet Elon Musk. He co-founded PayPal, runs an electric car company, and builds space rockets. Despite all that, he barely needs any evidence to prove why we need to act on climate change. Those climate change deniers are afraid of him, and they should be. URL

I don’t believe global warming is man made but I like what Elon Musk is
doing to make energy sustainable. The problem I have with most Global
Warming alarmist is their attempt to force their world view onto theres.
Its not enough to try to convince others that theres a better way. They use
force by punishing ppl with regulations and taxes. In the Free Market,
better ideas win. If solar is better, it will naturally win. This is where
Elon Musk is doing a good job. He has made solar make sense

It could destroy the planet and you think theyre doing it because they want
to “force their world view” on people? You know what if I saw that someone
was about to destroy the planet I would definitely use force. And this is
not a free market problem where did you get that idea? Its a science
problem and in science, correct conclusions win. And you know what just
answer me this honestly why don’t you believe global warming is man made?
What facts do you base that on?

Of all the men ever lived, this is the one that really can and really is
going to save our planet. Why not a government? Why not a multinational? If
all of the worlds governments met and agreed to order All of their car
making companies to stop making combustion engines within 3 months and
change over to electric vehicles (ALL vehicles, not just cars), Our
beautiful amazing planet would be saved from the horrific disaster to which
everyone else now seems to be slowly coming to terms with and accepting as
inevitable. Madness!!! Absolute Madness!!!! Make Elon King of our Earth,
and worship him. He is ‘The One’. He is The only One. No one else comes
anywhere near close. Nor does any government, nor does any company. Did
Aliens send him? To save our planet from ruin and destruction? Most likely
not. But if they did do such a thing and didn’t want us to know, how
different would that alien be? He is my God! He can have both my kidneys or
my heart anytime. With pleasure. I love this man.

Genius to recognize what is important, balls to follow through. Elon Musk
is my hero. In a world with no hero’s, he’s mine.

Robert Lutz is literally walking satire. At first I genuinely thought this
    was a super-villain movie.

@outforsushi Better idea? In a free market, the “better” product is the one
that is the most profitable. Profits do not not take into account
sustainability or environmental concerns, but scarcity is very profitable.
Gas is a finite resource, and the scarcer is gets, the more expensive it
gets, and the more profits roll in. Global warming alarmists? If you don’t
like regulations, then try living in smog filled China then; Don’t forget
your filter mask. You need to read up on history and the origin of the EPA.
A lot of good came about from the industrial revolution, but when your
drinking water is so contaminated that it catches on fire, something needs
to be done. And businesses won’t do anything unless it effects their bottom
line; so as long as dumping is cheaper than proper waste disposal, they
tend to go the cheaper route. There is no morality in free market
capitalism. It is not some god to be worship because money will some how
sort out what’s best for everyone, and yes everyone. Humans have become too
numerous to think that the earth is their property to exploit for money
regardless of the consequences to others or to the Earth as a whole. Who
wants to be king of an Earth that’s unfit for human survival?

If 1% is not enough to cook the planet, try injecting your kid/s with 1% of
pure radiation into their blood stream. If it doesn’t bother you, them
    we’re good…if not…than that’s how bad the situation is.
